Divvy virtual cards can help simplify and secure company spending. There are different types of virtual cards and different methods to manage each. Virtual cards can be created on both the web and the mobile app.

Here are some of the many benefits of virtual cards:

  • Every virtual card has a unique card number and security code which provides extra security for online transactions. If a fraudulent transaction occurs on a virtual card, the impact of the fraudulent activity will be limited to a single virtual card.

  • You can create as many virtual cards as you need. For example, you could create a virtual card for each online vendor you use, keeping all of your spend organized and preventing overspend.

  • You still control the spend. During creation, virtual cards must be tied to an active budget. People cannot spend with virtual cards unless they’ve been given budget funds to do so.

Member Card & Vendor Card Comparison

There are two categories of virtual cards: member cards and vendor cards. Member cards are useful when a budget member wants to create a virtual card for spending from all the funds assigned to them from a budget. Vendor cards are a good option when admins or budget owners want a virtual card that can spend from available budget funds up to any limit they select.

Divvy only supports creating a maximum of 100 member cards per budget. If you need more than 100 member cards, you will either need to delete unused member cards tied to that budget or create a new budget and create additional cards from that budget.
