Setting and resetting passwords is important to know for any desktop or mobile app. With Divvy, it's also important to note that a Divvy admin can reset a password for a Divvy spender (or Budget Member).

In this article, we’ll cover the following:

Setting a Password (Web/Mobile)

If you have been invited to Divvy, you will receive an email asking you to set a password.

1. From the email message, click the Set Password button.

2. Enter your new password in the New Password field [1]. Then confirm your password in the Confirm New Password field [2]. To save your password, click the Save button [3].

Note: To increase the security of your Divvy account, we highly recommend choosing a username and password that is not commonly used with other websites.

Resetting a Password (Web)

1. To reset a password, navigate to the login page in Divvy and click Forgot password?

2. A reset password email will be sent to your account. Once you’ve received the email, click on the Reset password button to set your new password.

Note: For your security, you are prevented from reusing your last used password as well as known, compromised passwords.

Resetting a Password on Mobile

1. Open the Divvy mobile app

2. From the login page, tap the Forgot password? link.

3. Enter your email address in the Email Address field [1]. Then tap the Send button [2].

4. Check your email inbox on your mobile device for the password reset email and press Reset password.

5. From the Reset Password screen in the mobile app, enter in a new, secure password.

Note: For your security, you are prevented from reusing your last used password as well as known, compromised passwords.

6. Press Save to set your new password

Resetting a password for a user as a Divvy admin (Web)

1. From the People page, select the person you’d like to reset a password for.

2. Click Options in the top right corner of the screen.

3. Select Reset password.

4. From here, the user selected will be sent an email prompting them to reset their password.

Changing Your Password While Logged In (Web)

1. To reset your password while logged into Divvy, click on your name and avatar at the bottom left corner of the left-hand navigation

2. Click on the Options menu on your account.

3. Then click on Change password to select a new password.

4. Enter your current password.

5. Now enter a new, secure password

6. Lastly, click Save to finish setting your new password in Divvy.
