Before employees can spend using a physical or virtual card, they need funds made available to them. As a budget owner, you have the ability to send funds to budget members using a web browser or the mobile app.

Note: If an employee is not a budget member before funds are sent to them, they will become budget members once funds are sent.

Send Funds From Budgets Page

  1. In the Divvy Navigation Menu, click the Budgets link.

Send Funds From Quick Actions Menu

You can easily access the Send Funds page from anywhere in Divvy using the Quick Actions menu. To open the Quick Actions menu, click the Add icon, which displays in the bottom right corner from anywhere in the Divvy platform [1]. To open the Add Person page, click the Send funds link [2].

Note: Only admins and budget owners can view the Send funds link in the Quick Actions menu.

1. In the Budget drop-down menu, select the budget you want to send funds from [1].

2. In the People drop-down menu, select the users you want to send funds to [2]. Any selected users who are not already in the budget will be automatically added to the budget.

3. In the Amount field, enter the fund amount you want to send to every selected user [3].

4. To add a note to the fund transfer, enter your note in the Note field [5]. The total amount sent and the amount available in the budget display in the Change Summary section [5].

5. To send funds, click the Send button [6].

Mobile App

1. Log in to the Divvy mobile app and tap the Add icon.

2. Tap the More actions... link.

3. Tap the Send funds button.

4. Select the budget you would like to send funds from.

5. Tap the user (or users) who you want to receive funds [1]. Then tap the Continue link [2].

6. Enter the amount you would like to send and include a note explaining the reason for sending funds (if necessary)). Then tap the Send button [2].

7. Review the budget, recipient, and amount and press Send again to confirm. Budget members will be immediately notified of allocated funds.

Note: If an employee is not a budget member before funds are sent to them, they will become budget members once funds are sent.
