As an added layer of security, Divvy offers Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for account logins. Each person in Divvy will need to complete their MFA setup to complete the login process.
SMS/Text MFA is an option for MFA in addition to the authenticator app MFA.
How to set up MFA for New Users via Text on the Web:
1. When attempting to log in, you will be presented with the following screen. Please enter the phone number you'd like to use for text verification.
Do not include a “1” in front of your number or hyphens or parentheses. Doing so may result in errors during setup.
2. A text code will be sent to that phone number.* Enter the six-digit code to verify authentication and click Verify.
3. Lastly, you can select Remember this browser so you will not be required to MFA again for 60 days. Click Done and you are officially logged in to Divvy and the MFA registration process is complete.
The “remember this browser'' setting may not function properly in an incognito browser, if cache and cookies are cleared, or if a major software update occurs on your browser.
How to set up MFA for New Users via Text on Mobile:
1. When attempting to log in, you will be presented with the following screen. Please enter the phone number you'd like to use for text verification.
Do not include a “1” in front of your number. Doing so may result in errors during setup.
2. A text code will be sent to that phone number.* Enter the six-digit code to verify authentication.
For Android users, the 6-digit code sent to your device via text message will automatically be added into the Verification Code field and submitted. iOS users will see the suggested code on their screen and simply need to tap to add it.
You are officially logged into Divvy and the MFA registration process is completed. You will now only need to enter an MFA code on mobile for future logins if you log out of your device completely.
Using MFA for Future Log Ins:
After MFA is set up, you'll log in by entering a six-digit code received via SMS on the web. This code will be required on new or unremembered browsers, or after 60 days on a remembered browser. For mobile users, you will not need to MFA again, unless you log out of the mobile app or change devices.
