In this article, you will learn how to log in to Divvy on a web browser or the Divvy mobile app.

Enter Credentials

  1. In a web browser, navigate to app.divvy.co.

  2. Enter your email address [1] and password [2]. Then click the Log In button [3].

If you need to reset your password, click the Forgot password? link [4].

If you successfully log in and do not need to enable multi-factor authentication, Divvy displays in your web browser. Otherwise, follow the Multi-factor Authentication and Device Verifications steps below.

Enable Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)

If you are logging into Divvy for the first time or your MFA has been reset, you will need to select an MFA registration option.

  1. To select text message registration, click the Text message option [1]. Learn more about text/SMS authentication.

  2. To select authentication app registration, click the Authenticator app option [2]. Learn more about authenticator app authentication.

Text Message Registration

Text message registration allows you to receive a code to your mobile phone that you can use to log in to Divvy. If you selected text message registration, complete the following steps:

  1. If necessary, select the location of your telephone number [1].

  2. Enter your phone number in the Phone Number field [2].

  3. Click the Next button [3].

Note: To avoid setup errors, do not enter a “1” before your phone number.

4. View your cell phone for a text message with a six-digit verification code.

5. Enter the code in the Enter Verification Code field [1].

6. To remember your browser for 60 days, click the Remember this browser for 60 days checkbox [2]. Note: Do not select the option to remember your browser if you are using a public or shared computer.

7. Click the Verify button [3].

Authentication App Registration

Authentication apps allow you to use your mobile device as a second level of authentication in addition to your password. Some examples of authentication apps are Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. You can download one of these apps to your device, link the app to your Divvy account, and then retrieve a unique code from the app whenever you need to log in. If you selected authentication app registration, complete the following steps:

  1. Open your authentication app on your mobile device.

  2. Navigate to the section of the app where you can add a new account via QR code.

  3. Scan the QR code [1].

  4. Click the Next button [2].

5. Enter the verification code from your authentication app in the Enter Verification Code field [1].

6. Click the Verify button [2].

You will see a confirmation if your MFA registration was successful.

7. To remember your browser for 60 days, click the Remember this browser for 60 days checkbox [1]. Note: Do not select the option to remember your browser if you are using a public or shared computer.

8. Then click the Done button [2].

Device Verification

If you haven’t done so previously, you will also need to verify the device you are using. Learn more about device verification.

  1. View the message that an email has been sent to the email address associated with your Divvy account.

  2. If you did not receive an email, click the Didn’t get an email? link.

3. On the same device and browser you are using to log in, open your email account.

4. In the email message, click the Verify Device button.

Mobile App

  1. Open the Divvy app on your iOS or Android device.

  2. Enter your email address [1] and password [2]. Then tap the Log In button [3].

If you need to reset your password, tap the Forgot password? link [4].

If you successfully log in and do not need to enable multi-factor authentication, the Divvy app opens on your mobile device. Otherwise, follow the Multi-factor Authentication and Device Verifications steps below.

Enable Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)

If you are logging into Divvy for the first time or your MFA has been reset, you will need to select an MFA registration option.

Text Message Registration

3. Enter the code in the Verification Code field [1].

4. If you did not receive a code, tap the Resend Code link [2].

5. Tap the Next button [3].

Some examples of authentication apps are Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. You can download one of these apps to your device, link the app to your Divvy account, and then retrieve a unique code from the app whenever you need to log in. If you selected authentication app registration, complete the following steps:

  1. Open your authentication app on your mobile device.

  2. Navigate to the section of the app where you can add a new account.

  3. Copy the authentication key [1] and paste the key in your authenticator app.

  4. Tap the Next button [2].

5. Enter the verification code from your authentication app in the Verification Code field [1].

6. Tap the Verify button [2].

You will see a confirmation if your MFA registration was successful.

Device Verification

If you haven’t done so previously, you will also need to verify the device you are using. Learn more about device verification.

  1. View the message that an email has been sent to the email address associated with your Divvy account.

2. On the same device and browser you are using to log in, open your email account.

3. In the email message, tap the Verify Device button.

Select Device Login Option

You can also select an option to use when you log in to the Divvy app in the future. To create a PIN, tap the PIN option [1]. To enable fingerprint verification, tap the Fingerprint option [2].
